F&P Robotics and its partner for Service Robotics in China, Zhongrui Funing Robotics (Shenyang) Co. Ltd, did exhibit three F&P Personal Robots P-Rob® on 72 m2.
The show included
- A mobile demonstration using a minicamera in the gripper and a mobile platform EAI, showing how P-Rob can catch Tubes from a mobile agent independent of its position
- A demonstration of the vacuum double gripper (P-Grip® V2) which was interactively working with the visitors to pick up, leather etuis, tubes or whatever the visitor gave to the robot
- The capacitive sensors on the P-Rob surface which allow to stop before touching a person
- The miniature delta robot Eeduro of the University of Applied Sciences, NTB Buchs, Switzerland, which allows to control the robot – in addition to its automatic mode – by a mouse or a joystick.
- The partial exposure and video demonstration of the ARTORG surgical robot for cochlea implants, developed at the University of Berne, Switzerland
The main focus was set on Personal Care Robotics, where F&P specializes within the service robotics market. The co-exhibiting Shenyang partner is planning several projects for application in the hospitals and elderly care environments in China.
The double vacuum gripper P-Grip V2 was interesting also for visitors from industry. It allows to control the two vacuum suction cups independently including individual sensor feedback about successful grasping, while the safety is ensured by the soft cover of all parts.
The F&P booth got a lot of attention from all kind of visitors; industrial companies, researchers as well (during the weekend) as families. This shows the relevance of the P-Rob technology for both, industrial collaborative robotics and personal service robotics.
The World Robot Conference 2016 used the Slogan “Innovation, Sharing, Win-Win, Towards an Era of Intelligence”. All this is in the full focus of F&P Robotics, thus the exhibition was already a win-win situation.
