On April 19, 2018, our project “Robot Assistant for Nurses (RAN)”, funded by the European platform for technology transfer “ROBOTT-NET”, was presented at the “Open Lab” day of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.
The project aims to automate the very frequent and labor-intensive task of material preparation before the taking of blood samples. The RAN system is designed to have a big potential for extension to other medical treatments.
