Lio in Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht

Lio is a professional robot assistant that creates unique value for health care institutions. The helpful robot has been actively supporting the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht since May 2019.

Lio navigates autonomously around the clinic. During his working time he supports and entertains both clients and staff. The aim of using personal assistant robot Lio is to improve the patients quality of life by accompanying them in their everyday activities. In this way nursing and care personnel receive valuable help and are relieved of repetitive daily tasks. As a result staff gains more time for priority, complex and professional tasks.

Lio is a great companion to the patients of the clinic. He motivates them by providing entertainment and support. Assistant robot Lio also supports healthcare personnel by overtaking daily repetitive tasks such as blood sample deliveries from the wards to the entrance. By doing so he can reduce the workload for personnel significantly. Lio works independently and follows a daily routine. In times of high hygiene standards, Lio can help to reduce to human-to-human contacts by delivering water and material. Additionally, Lio can provide telemonitoring services and entertainment.

Lio is a part of the team and gives his very best to help the staff. He always takes cultivated values of the rehabilitation clinic to heart. An example of this is his ability to tell success stories of former rehabilitation patients from Michael Lampart’s book “Sieben Leben”. The robot uses quotes from the book to motivated and entertain current patients.

F&P Robotics and the customer are very satisfied and are in discussions about further functions and additional robots for the clinic.
